Plying is done

Well, the plying for the Wing-of-the-Moth shawl is finished.

I ended up with 1210 yards of 2-ply out of 10 ounces of the alpaca, wool, silk, and mohair. The yarn is very soft, shinny, slippery, and a bit fuzzy. The colors got pretty much muddied up. More blended than I wanted, but I guess that's the way it is. We'll see how it knits up. It really feels nice.

Oh, my, that's a lot of spinning of the same fiber - 1210 yards. Congratulations on finishing.

Wow, that is so beautiful! And I think it will really shine in the wing of the moth pattern. I can't wait to see the beginning of it!

I really like it! Would love to be able to cuddle and fondle it too. I think it will knit up beautifully.

Lovely Laceweight..........It's going to make a wonderful Wing of the Moth shawl; that shawl is on my to do list as well.

That really will be lovely in WOM! I did one awhile back - lovely pattern, but I did mine with 3.75mm needles and it came out much smaller than *I* would like - Another one is on my list. I only ran into one problem (well besides having to start it three times because of operator error).

The designer was really lovely and helped me out when I e-mailed her in a panic - and the shawl got done.

Have fun with it! :)
